Time Remaining to Congress:

Dear Colleagues;

Since our establishment in 2010, we as the Association of Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies- Türkiye (ACBP-T), have contributed to the widespread use of cognitive-behavioral therapies in our country via organizing training activities for professionals. Through such courses and teaching activities we have reached a significant number of professionals working with people from all age groups. We also have been publishing the Journal of Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapy and Research (JCBPR), the first and only scientific journal published in the field of CBT in our country, Türkiye.

We aim to create a platform in which psychotherapists and researchers can share and collaborate on their academic activities and clinical experiences, and provide an update on the theory and practicality of the cognitive behavioral psychotherapies.

In 2018, we successfully organized our very first international Congress with around 400 participants (http://bdt2018.org/index_ing.php). This year, the 10th anniversary of our organization, we are delighted to announce the 2nd ACBP-T Congress, which will be held in Ankara on 1-4 October 2020. The theme of this scientific meeting is "Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapies: From Basic Science to Clinical Applications".

With the workshops and courses before and during the Congress, the participants will be able to follow current scientific developments as well as having the opportunity to enhance the repertoire of their clinical skills. We will soon announce the list of our speakers and the congress scientific program, which will be followed by a second announcement regarding the details of the deadlines for proposals. Your suggestions for panels, symposia, and courses will be welcomed as well as abstracts for poster and verbal presentations.

We will be looking forward to your participation for and contribution to the Congress and we wish you happy and healthy days.

On behalf of Congress Organizing Committee;
The President

Prof. Dr. M. Hakan Türkçapar
